The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) regulates use of background information when an employment, credit, or tenant screening decision is being made. Entities that provide information this information to employers, landlords, or mortgage brokers amongst others are known as Consumer Reporting Agencies or CRAs. Examples of CRAs include TransUnion, Equifax and Experian. (Publicseek has no affiliation with any of these services)

Publicseek is not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This means there a number of restrictions in the way it can provide information to subscribers and the manner in which subscribers can use information received from Publicseek.
